It is important to stay up-to-date with the REALTOR® Code of Ethics.  It is a living, breathing document that changes each year, as the industry changes.  You will gain a better understanding of how it applies to your business and the higher level of professionalism that you agree to abide by in not just being a real estate agent, but a REALTOR®.

Existing REALTOR® members, are required to complete a minimum of 2.5 hours of approved Code of Ethics training every three years as a refresher in order to remain a REALTOR® member. This has nothing to do with having a real estate license, but some courses do offer CE credit as a side benefit of taking the course. 

Current Cycle is January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2024

Supervising Brokers are usually the final authority for making decisions that impact their brokerage and relationships with the public.  These decisions shape the culture and retention of valuable staff and sales teams. Establishing a solid foundation in the practical application of agency and team management can be a daunting task without a logical approach to addressing daily challenges. This solution-finding, interactive session is for Supervising Brokers who want to increase productivity and decrease stress. By attending this program, the Supervising Broker will receive insight not only into their own operations but gain perspectives on the realities of real estate as it applies to vicarious liability and administrative processes.

1:00 to 4:00 – Inspections: Navigating the Process

Inspections play a major role in completing a residential transaction.  This class will better prepare you to work with the complexities of the home inspection process.  You’ll have a better understanding of how to prepare your clients/customers - both Buyers and Sellers - on how to interpret the purchase contract, ordering, attending the inspections, making the appropriate repair requests and reaching an agreement.

Real Estate Negotiation Expert

March 22 & 23 – 9:00 to 4:00

This course is an interactive experience to help negotiators elevate their game! The course examines all types of negotiation formats and methods so that today’s negotiators can play the game to win. A full spectrum of tips, tools, techniques and advantages will be provided so that negotiators can provide effective results for their client.

RENE also includes a variety of real-world negotiations to help students apply the power tools, techniques and tactics learned in the course. Understanding the tactics and techniques is one thing but learning how to recognize them being done and using them effectively requires practice. The exercises and field simulations provide the foundational experience and practice negotiators need to master so they can effectively advocate for their clients.

The Power Negotiator's Playbook is: 

  • in preparation, 
  • being open to options,
  • knowing how to effectively work with tradeoffs, 
  • knowing how to compromise without giving essential components away,
  • and reaching a resolution that your client can find acceptable A "win-win" objective is merely a perception.

Power comes from leveraging your options and alternatives so that the client has the best possible choices to consider and knows what the downside could be for each choice presented.

If you would like to get the RENE certification after attending this class, all you will need to do is submit a one-time fee of $159. There are no annual dues or continuing education requirements.
