RSCK’s Leadership Development Committee and the SCK MLS Nominating Committee will meet in July to start the nominee selection process for 4 RSCK Director seats and 5 SCK MLS Director seats to serve three-year terms beginning January 1, 2024.
RSCK BOD Nominees must be REALTOR® members in good standing and must meet the following qualifications:
- At least two years of REALTOR® membership
- At least two years of active REALTOR® Association Committee experience, or equivalent leadership experience, in the past three years.
- No violations with the Kansas Real Estate Commission or REALTOR® Code of Ethics within the past three years.
- Broker acknowledgment of application. Requires Broker signature on the application.
- Because of the company limitation in the Bylaws (Article XI, Section 5) of “No more than two members of a firm may serve as an elected director," JP Weigand & Sons Inc. and Reece Nichols - South Central Kansas will not be eligible for an RSCK director seat. Also, Berkshire Hathaway Penfed Realty and Reece Nichols - South Central Kansas will not be eligible for an RSCK director seat.

After a review of the applications submitted to verify the qualifications, the Leadership Development Committee will hold a Candidate Membership Forum on August 2nd to give the general membership an opportunity to meet the candidates.
The new RSCK Directors will be elected during an online election that opens on August 21st at 9:00 a.m. and closes on September 6th at 9:00 am. The results will be announced at the RSCK Annual Meeting on Friday, September 7th at 9:00 am.

The Board is responsible for overseeing our strategic direction and making important decisions related to governance, finance, approval of committee efforts, and management. Overall, the Board plays a crucial role in the success and sustainability of RSCK.
The SCK MLS Board of Directors is the governing body for the for-profit wholly-owned subsidiary of the REALTORS of South Central Kansas, South Central Kansas MLS. The Board is entrusted with the crucial task of overseeing the actions of the MLS and CIE committees and determine which MLS and CIE products and services are offered to members to serve their business.
