COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT COMMITTEE
JR Rohr
As the first quarter of 2023 ends, we should be proud of what we have accomplished so far.
We are all working in industries where transactions seem to be more and more difficult to close due to lending restrictions, inventory issues, borrower expectations, etc.
As an association and team, we have overcome a challenging climate to accomplish amazing tasks! We ended March with the Numana Food Packing event hosted at the Sedgwick County Extension Center. With 100,000 meals packed in less than 3 hours, this was a record year for us - WOW! With our work, this pushes the total number of meals packed to over 600,000 since inception. I think it’s safe to say this event is making a huge impact in the world. Thank you, thank you, thank you, to all the volunteers and sponsors who made this event such a success.
Bronze – Heartland Credit Union, Meritrust Credit Union, Gateway Mortgage, Tobie Andrews Photography, McCurdy Auction, Fairway Home Loans, Legacy Bank, Academy Mortgage, Todd Woodburn
Silver – Security 1st Title, Sierra Pacific, Home Bank and Trust, Door Rescue 911, KS Secured Title, Be Amazed Carpet Cleaning, Amelia Sumerell, 2 Sons Constuction, Cleve Smith
Gold – Better Homes and Gardens, Herzberg Roofing, RRC, Central Roofing Service, Reece Nichols SCKS, API Home Inspections, Marsha McConnell
Platinum – J.P. Weigand and Sons Inc., BHHS PenFed Realty, Fidelity Bank, RSCK, ReMax Premier/Schellenberg Development
We could not have reached our lofty goal of 100,000 meals packed without the support of these generous sponsors!
Looking ahead, keep your eye out for good deals on backpacks and school supplies. The Community Involvement Committee will be kicking off the annual Backpack drive again soon (with a twist this year – stay tuned 😊) and in April were out in the community getting our hands dirty helping those in need!
Again, many thanks to all involved. I’m truly grateful to be a part of such an impactful Community Involvement Committee.
All my best,
JR Rohr
