JULY VIDEO MESSAGE

JUNE VIDEO MESSAGE

RSCK Members,

I hope this message finds you all in good health and high spirits as we step into the summer season.

As we approach the halfway mark of the year, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on our accomplishments, highlight key developments and share exciting news that will shape the path ahead for our real estate community.

Membership Strength and Engaging Events:

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to each one of you for your unwavering dedication to our profession. The REALTORS® of South-Central Kansas community continues to thrive because of your collective enthusiasm, knowledge, and passion. Our recent events, educational opportunities and community outreach programs have been met with great success. I encourage you all to actively participate and take advantage of these valuable opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Advocacy and Legislation:

Our association remains at the forefront of advocating for policies that support the best interests of our members and the real estate industry. We have been actively engaging with local and state legislators to address key issues such as affordable housing, property tax reform and regulatory measures impacting our profession. Your involvement and input in this process is crucial. We are committed to keeping you informed about any significant legislative developments.

Technological Advancements:

Embracing technology and staying at the forefront of digital innovation is essential to our success in an ever-evolving real estate landscape. We are continuously exploring ways to leverage technology and provide you with the tools and resources needed to excel in your business.

Upcoming Initiatives and Collaborative Efforts:

Looking ahead, we have an exciting lineup of initiatives and collaborative efforts planned for the remainder of the year. We are actively working with local organizations and community partners to address housing affordability concerns and explore sustainable development opportunities. I encourage you to actively engage and participate in these endeavors as they unfold.

Membership Feedback and Ideas:

Your feedback and ideas are invaluable to us. We are committed to continuously improving and delivering the best possible experience for our members. If you have any suggestions, concerns or ideas, please do not hesitate to reach out. Together we can shape the future of our association and the real estate industry in South-Central Kansas.

In other news, Committee Applications are now open until August 31, 2023. We have twelve committees which do amazing work to improve and advance our Association. If you are interested in getting involved, check out the RSCK website for more information on each of our committees and for those applications.

As we look at the real estate industry, it is no secret that REALTORS® are facing questions about our worth and importance. Right now, it is vital that we share the benefit of using a REALTOR® and what we stand for. On our RSCK social media pages we are providing great resources for you to share with your clients and customers about the work we do and how that work is beneficial for them. On top of those resources, the National Association of REALTORS® has shared 179 Ways Agents Who Are REALTORS® Are Worth Every Penny of Their Compensation. I encourage you to look at this graphic and use this as inspiration for spreading the word about our importance.

In conclusion, I am immensely proud of the progress we have made as an association and the unwavering spirit you have displayed. Let us continue to thrive together and support one another as we navigate the dynamic real estate market. Your dedication and professionalism inspire me, and I am confident that our collective efforts will lead to even greater success in the months to come.

Thank you for being a part of REALTORS® of South-Central Kansas. Enjoy your summer season!

Who We Are

RSCK:
Established in 1921 - Celebrating 100 Years of Excellence

The REALTORS® of South Central Kansas (RSCK) is a local affiliate of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) and is the largest REALTOR Association in the state of Kansas with
more than 2400 members. Our membership is composed of residential and commercial REALTORS®, brokers, salespeople, property managers, appraisers, counselors, and others who
are engaged in all aspects of the real estate industry. Our members have met state requirements to sell real estate, but, most importantly, each member has also pledged to adhere to a strict Code of Ethics, promising to conduct their day-to- day business with the foremost
concern for their clients. Information regarding the REALTOR® Code of Ethics can be found here.

The RSCK Mission

To enhance the ability of our members to achieve success in an ethical and professional manner, advocate for and be the voice of the real estate industry in South Central Kansas.

SCK MLS:
About South Central Kansas MLS

South Central Kansas MLS (SCK MLS) was formed in 2004 and has been a trusted source for the most complete and accurate real estate information for South Central Kansas.  SCK MLS covers a service area of 5 counties—Sedgwick, Butler, Harvey, Cowley, and Sumner.  SCK MLS provides authorized participants a Multiple Listing Service (MLS) and a Commercial Information Exchange (CIE).  SCK MLS currently provides services to approximately 2,500 real estate participants and subscribers.

SCK MLS provides real estate professionals with reliable, cost-effective access to a variety of multiple listing service products and services to serve their business needs in today’s fast-paced industry.

MLS is a means by which authorized participants make blanket unilateral offers of cooperation and compensation to other participants and is a facility for the orderly correlation and dissemination of listing information among the participants so they may better serve their clients and the public.  MLS property listings can be viewed publicly through kansasresidential.com (powered by Homesnap) or at Realtor.com, in addition to many other subscriber websites.

CIE serves as a commercial information exchange and can be found at kscommercialre.com.  Participants who have been retained by sellers of commercial property to market those properties may submit information on those properties to the CIE.  Participants who have been retained by buyers of a commercial property may submit information of the type of property sought to the CIE.  Any compensation agreements related to the property included in the CIE compilation must be made on an individual basis outside of the CIE between the Participants involved.  A CIE is not an MLS, no offers of cooperation and compensation are communicated through filing information on a property within the CIE.

SCK MLS helped facilitate over 12,654 transactions, worth over $2.4 Billion. SCK MLS is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the REALTORS of South Central Kansas.
