2024 RSCK President
Samar Edenfield

RSCK Members,

It's hard to believe we're already halfway through the first quarter of 2024!

As the warm embrace of spring envelops us, the real estate industry is abuzz with the excitement of buyers and sellers eager to make their moves. It's a time of hustle and bustle, of anticipation and opportunity.

As you gear up for the spring market frenzy, I urge you to stay informed and empowered by tapping into the invaluable resources provided by RSCK. Keeping abreast of market updates is essential for navigating the ever-evolving landscape of real estate.

But amidst the whirlwind of transactions and negotiations, let us not forget the cornerstone of our profession: professionalism and ethics. As Realtors, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of integrity and conduct. Let's continue to uphold these principles in every interaction, transaction, and decision we make.

Remember, our clients entrust us with one of the most significant transactions of their lives. Let's honor that trust by being good stewards of their interests, offering guidance with care, and always prioritizing their needs above all else.

Equally important is the notion of solidarity within our community. Let's foster a culture of support and camaraderie amongst fellow Realtors. By lifting each other up, we create an environment where success is not only achievable but celebrated together.

April is Fair Housing month, serving as a poignant reminder of our commitment to inclusivity and equality in housing. I encourage each of you to explore Fair Haven, a comprehensive resource available on the NAR website, designed to deepen our understanding of fair housing practices.

Furthermore, be on the lookout for upcoming Fair Housing learning and awareness opportunities through RSCK. Let's seize these chances to broaden our knowledge and champion fairness in all aspects of our profession.

As we embark on this vibrant season of renewal and growth, I wish you all an incredible and prosperous spring. Let's continue to "Rise Up and Shine On" in 2024, embodying the spirit of resilience, excellence, and compassion that defines us as Realtors.

Together, let's make this spring a season of achievement, unity, and positive impact in our communities.

Warm regards,

Samar Edenfield
President, Realtors of South Central Kansas

Who We Are

RSCK:
Established in 1921 - Celebrating 100 Years of Excellence

The REALTORS® of South Central Kansas (RSCK) is a local affiliate of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) and is the largest REALTOR Association in the state of Kansas with
more than 2400 members. Our membership is composed of residential and commercial REALTORS®, brokers, salespeople, property managers, appraisers, counselors, and others who
are engaged in all aspects of the real estate industry. Our members have met state requirements to sell real estate, but, most importantly, each member has also pledged to adhere to a strict Code of Ethics, promising to conduct their day-to- day business with the foremost
concern for their clients. Information regarding the REALTOR® Code of Ethics can be found here.

The RSCK Mission

To enhance the ability of our members to achieve success in an ethical and professional manner, advocate for and be the voice of the real estate industry in South Central Kansas.

SCK MLS:
About South Central Kansas MLS

South Central Kansas MLS (SCK MLS) was formed in 2004 and has been a trusted source for the most complete and accurate real estate information for South Central Kansas.  SCK MLS covers a service area of 5 counties—Sedgwick, Butler, Harvey, Cowley, and Sumner.  SCK MLS provides authorized participants a Multiple Listing Service (MLS) and a Commercial Information Exchange (CIE).  SCK MLS currently provides services to approximately 2,500 real estate participants and subscribers.

SCK MLS provides real estate professionals with reliable, cost-effective access to a variety of multiple listing service products and services to serve their business needs in today’s fast-paced industry.

MLS is a means by which authorized participants make blanket unilateral offers of cooperation and compensation to other participants and is a facility for the orderly correlation and dissemination of listing information among the participants so they may better serve their clients and the public.  MLS property listings can be viewed publicly through kansasresidential.com (powered by Homesnap) or at Realtor.com, in addition to many other subscriber websites.

CIE serves as a commercial information exchange and can be found at kscommercialre.com.  Participants who have been retained by sellers of commercial property to market those properties may submit information on those properties to the CIE.  Participants who have been retained by buyers of a commercial property may submit information of the type of property sought to the CIE.  Any compensation agreements related to the property included in the CIE compilation must be made on an individual basis outside of the CIE between the Participants involved.  A CIE is not an MLS, no offers of cooperation and compensation are communicated through filing information on a property within the CIE.

SCK MLS helped facilitate over 12,654 transactions, worth over $2.4 Billion. SCK MLS is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the REALTORS of South Central Kansas.
