About Committees

Member involvement is essential to the mission of RSCK. Our members bring a wealth of talent and experience to the day-to-day operation of RSCK by serving on a committee. Committee membership is open only to RSCK members. Please refer to the individual committee descriptions below for specific committee membership requirements. Committees are formed each year under the newly elected RSCK leadership. Committee service is actively solicited during that time; however, it may be possible to join some committees outside of the member solicitation period. Your interest in participating in an RSCK committee is always welcome. New members who join RSCK throughout the year are encouraged to consider committee service.

Why serve on a committee?

Committees help shape the direction of our Association and its policies. If you want your voice to be heard and want to contribute to the decision-making process, our committees are a great forum for debate and discussion. Experience in committees is beneficial for those interested in seeking future leadership roles.

Committee Appointment

Committee appointments begin on January 1st and end on December 31st (unless more than 1-year term). If you are currently serving on a committee and would like to volunteer again for the same committee, please let us know by completing the committee volunteer application form below.

Please Note:

Some Committees are limited in the number of appointments available. The Professional Standards Committee & Grievance Committee requires specific experience.  Business Partner Members may serve on Community Involvement, Diversity Equity & Inclusion, Professional Development, and Young Professionals Network.

Members are eligible to serve no more than two consecutive terms on a committee.  If you have served two consecutive terms, please consider selecting another committee.

“If you want to get involved, I highly recommend getting started at the committee level. I’ve been on several committees over the last number of years both on the MLS side and the Association side. To anybody that is considering putting in an application but you’re not quite sure, I’d tell you that really, it’s an opportunity to network, learn more about the governance and operations of the association, and become a better agent. The more active and involved you are, and the more meeting and greeting and introducing yourselves to practitioners that you interact with daily, makes you a better agent. So, if you are looking to get your feet wet at the association, go look at those committees.”
