The crisp feeling in the air, the changing of the colors, the warm and hearty smells, and the holidays always make me smile. This upcoming season is my favorite time of year – how about you? I cannot believe we are almost there! In many ways, this year has flown by.
The Community Involvement Committee wrapped up our Annual Backpack drive at the end of July. We delivered over 700 backpacks and school supplies to the kids at the McKinney-Vento Program. Thanks again to all who donated and to the volunteers who delivered these items!
Now, mark your calendars for the annual REALTORS® Relief Foundation Fundraiser on Thursday September 26th, 2024, from 4:00 – 8:00 pm! There will be entertainment, food, drinks, silent auction gift baskets donated from our committees and members, and more! The proceeds from this wonderful evening will be donated to the REALTORS® Relief Foundation.
The REALTORS® Relief Foundation (RRF) is 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing housing-related assistance to victims of disasters. Created as a REALTOR®-driven response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks, RRF continues to restore and rebuild communities affected by disasters such as wildfires, hurricanes, earthquakes, and tornados thanks to the generosity of individual REALTORS®, REALTOR® Associations, and affiliated organizations. Together, through the RRF, our community has helped over 19,000 families remain in their homes.
In 2022, the REALTORS® Relief Foundation gave to Kansas communities three times, after being impacted by two wildfires and the tornado in Andover, Kansas.
In 2023, the REALTORS® Relief Foundation donated toward 25 Natural Disasters, including another tornado that impacted Southwest Kansas.
Tickets to this event are available for purchase! They are $25 until the day of the event, then they are $30 until noon, and $35 at the door, so get your tickets now!
