If the first six months of the year have taught us anything, it's that real estate never stands still. We've seen continued changes across our industry, from listing policies and consumer transparency to major brokerage mergers and acquisitions. It seems like every time we get comfortable with the current landscape, something new comes along to keep us on our toes.

While the headlines may change, the core of what we do remains the same. REALTORS® continue to help people navigate some of life's biggest decisions while serving as trusted advisors in their communities.

April marked Fair Housing Month, providing an opportunity to reflect on the importance of ensuring equal housing opportunities for all. Fair housing is one of the foundations of our profession and a reminder of the responsibility we have to serve every client with professionalism, integrity, and respect.

This week also gives us a chance to celebrate another important part of being a REALTOR®. From May 30 through June 6, REALTORS® across the country are participating in REALTORS® Are Good Neighbors Week, recognizing the countless ways our members give back to the communities they serve.

Here in Grand County, REALTORS® do much more than buy and sell real estate. Our members volunteer, coach youth sports, mentor others, support local nonprofits, serve on community boards, and step up whenever their communities need them. These acts of service often happen behind the scenes, but they make a real difference in the communities we call home.

No matter what changes the rest of 2026 may bring, I know our members will continue to adapt, serve their clients well, and help strengthen our community along the way.

And if the first half of the year is any indication, one thing remains certain: real estate is never boring.
