Several proposals and actions have been our focus for expanding opportunities for everyone to develop their professional skills and excel as realtors.  This year we have contracted with the “CE Shop” for members to get a discount for their online courses with the code “Learnmore2024”.  Check out their wide selection of learning options.  We also have already booked learning opportunities for members that are free every month, some in person, some online and some hybrid where you can choose your favorite way of learning.  Check out the educational calendar on the GAR to see what is already planned.

Currently, our committee has two major projects that are in process.  One is the planning for next year’s courses which begin in November.  This process needs to be completed by July 1st.  If you have ideas for future classes, please let us know.  The other project is implementing an expanded role for the education committee which will include offering more non-accredited continuing education options, coordinating more classes with other GAR committees to offer education on hot topic/current issues that are more local focused as they arise.  We are also looking at the possibility of organizing a new member orientation curriculum and developing more opportunities for Realtors to gain certifications and designations that enhance their professional status.
