Transitioning from Summer Selling Season into Fall

As the President of GCAR, I want to extend a warm greeting to all our members as we transition from the busy summer selling season into fall. With the crisp air and the apple orchards ripe for picking, there’s a sense of renewal in the atmosphere, both in nature and within GCAR’s community.

As you may be aware, New York has enacted a ban on natural gas and other fossil fuels. I want to personally invite you to a free panel discussion, NY Plugs In, covering how this will affect the real estate industry. Join us on Oct. 25 at the Crowne Plaza Desmond Hotel and Conference Center to learn how real estate and energy leaders are preparing for the plugged-in future. Watch your email for registration details.

Mark your calendars for another significant event. GCAR’s Trade Show is set to take place on October 18th at the Saratoga City Center. Our dedicated Trade Show Committee has tirelessly curated an exceptional event for our members. For more details on registration and the event schedule, please refer to page 7. I want to extend my gratitude to our Platinum Sponsors, Edgeco Environmental and Key Bank, whose unwavering support and partnership have been instrumental in making our Trade Show a resounding success year after year.

The GCAR Annual Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 9th, at The Century House. During this event, we will continue our tradition of honoring excellence within our ranks by announcing the 2023 REALTOR® of the Year and Good Neighbor awards. If you know of a deserving colleague who should be recognized for their contributions, please consider nominating them. You can find the nomination form at www.gcar.com/awards.

As we dive into the busy fall market, I urge all members to embrace the opportunities it presents and take a moment to appreciate the changing seasons and the invaluable industry events available to us.

For the latest updates and news from GCAR, ensure you stay connected by reading our weekly member message emails and following us on Facebook.
Wishing you all a successful and secure autumn season ahead. Together, we continue to strengthen our community of real estate professionals.
