DEI COMMITTEE

The DEI Committee has had a strong start to the year, organizing efforts and planning valuable content and resources for RSCK.
As we look ahead to April, we are especially excited to recognize National Fair Housing Month, a time to reflect on the history and lasting impact of the Fair Housing Act on our nation.
Signed into law on April 11, 1968, just days after the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the Fair Housing Act remains a cornerstone of civil rights legislation. It protects individuals from discrimination when buying, renting, financing, or securing housing assistance, ensuring equal access to housing opportunities for all. We’re inviting everyone to join us as the City of Wichita declares April Fair Housing Month with a proclamation reading at a city council meeting early in the month. Be on the lookout for details on RSCK’s Facebook later in March.
